Rev. Fr. Olaniyan’s Sendforth Event
A Decade of Grace: Celebrating the Legacy of Rev. Fr. Anthony Olaniya, SMA
There are seasons in the life of every parish—quiet beginnings, steady growth, and moments of profound transformation. For Holy Family Parish, Life Camp, the years between 2015 and 2025 will forever be remembered as a golden era—an era shaped by vision, sacrifice, and unwavering pastoral love. At the heart of it all stood one man: Rev. Fr. Anthony Olaniya, SMA.
As the parish gathers to bid farewell after ten remarkable years of his priestly leadership, it is not merely the end of an assignment—it is the closing of a chapter deeply etched in the hearts of the faithful.
From the moment he assumed office in 2015, Fr. Anthony brought with him not just administrative skill, but a clear and compelling vision. He saw beyond the present and worked tirelessly to build a future rooted in faith, community, and service. Under his guidance, Holy Family Parish did not simply grow—it flourished.
One of the most visible testimonies to his leadership is the transformation of the parish’s physical landscape. The construction of the Parish Centre stands as a symbol of unity and gathering—a place where faith meets fellowship. The Chapel of Perpetual Adoration, a sacred haven of silence and prayer, reflects his deep commitment to nurturing the spiritual life of the people. Through the renovation of the church, he ensured that the house of God remained not only structurally sound but spiritually inviting.
Yet, beyond bricks and mortar, Fr. Anthony’s greatest legacy lies in the lives he touched.
He had a special place in his heart for the youth—guiding them, mentoring them, and creating opportunities for them to grow in faith and purpose. Many found direction under his leadership; others rediscovered hope. His encouragement, presence, and belief in their potential ignited a new generation of committed young Catholics.
His compassion extended to the poor and vulnerable. Quietly, often without recognition, he reached out to those in need—offering not just material support, but dignity and care. In him, many encountered not just a priest, but a father.
Ever the visionary, he expanded the reach of the parish by establishing new Mass centres and outstations, ensuring that the Eucharist and pastoral care were accessible to more people. Through this, he brought the Church closer to the people—making faith a lived, daily experience rather than a distant obligation.
Spiritually, his impact has been profound. His homilies inspired reflection; his leadership strengthened faith; his presence reassured many in times of doubt and difficulty. He cultivated a parish that prays, serves, and grows together.
And now, as he moves on to a new mission, the sense of loss is deeply felt. Holy Family Parish will miss his guidance, his vision, his warmth, and his unwavering dedication. Yet, even in farewell, there is gratitude—immense, heartfelt gratitude for a decade well spent.
For while pastors may come and go, the seeds they plant continue to grow.
Rev. Fr. Anthony Olaniya leaves behind not just structures, but a living, vibrant community—a parish strengthened in faith, united in love, and inspired to continue the journey.
As the curtain gently falls on this chapter, the words of Scripture echo softly: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Thank you, Fr. Anthony, for ten years of grace, growth, and greatness. Your legacy lives on—in every prayer whispered in the Adoration Chapel, in every gathering at the Parish Centre, in every young life you inspired, and in every heart you touched.
You will be deeply missed—but never forgotten.
